Portrait
A painted portrait is a unique gift, or a beautiful memory of a loved one. My working method is characterized by a personal approach, in which the resemblance to the person portrayed is paramount.
I would be happy to discuss your wishes. My preference lies with painting from reality, which means that a number of modeling sessions are agreed upon. It is also possible to work with the help of photos. The portrait is not ready until the client is satisfied with the result.

Klifhanger is een 2-jaarlijks terugkerende kunstmanifestatie op locaties in en rond Den Hoorn op Texel.
Het is een kunstroute waar kunstenaars op erven en akkers, in schuurtjes en woonkamers en in het duingebied hun kunstwerk tentoonstellen. Werk dat speciaal is gemaakt voor de locatie én dat een sterke binding heeft met de plaats waar het wordt gepresenteerd. Het thema was dit keer 'Grenzen verleggen'; in dat kader wilde ik iets maken dat het probleem van de stijgende zeespiegel aankaart. De huidige grens op Texel tussen zee en eiland zal volgens verschillende voorspellingen gaan opschuiven. Mijn uitdaging was om dit thema te verbeelden, op een schilderachtige manier. Wie weet kan het iets bijdragen aan onze bewustwording m.b.t. de klimaatproblematiek. Pas als je iets ZIET geloof je het misschien?
